I'm home..

WOW...I can't believe it's the 20th of September...I've been home for a month..I'm shocked...bewildered...amazed. Where does the time go!!! Well, i'll tell you. I've been home for 4 weeks, 9 days spent in North Bay (home), 3 days with the parents in Wyebridge, 6 days at the camp, and now 5 days on the road in Northern Ontario. Next week, i'm touring southern ontario and visiting family. (In the midst of all this travel, i also acquired a new pet...Stella the kitten..who might actually be a Lewis..we'll see what the vet says.
Many people know that i had some mixed feelings about coming home...and yes, it has been very tough readjusting to life on this side of the pond. I feel very strange..like i no longer fit in. What the hell? Don't get me wrong, i'm super happy to see and spend time with Mike and my family, but i fee a little lost as well. I'm going to do my best to get involved in my community and hopefully find a job in the coming weeks. I'm sure that will help. I need to create a new niche for myself and get out and meet some new people. I've moved back to my university town..but most of my friends here have since moved on to new locations...and i'm very much missing the great folks i met or remet in Korea..MISS YOU GUYS!!! Clean slate..time to start doodling again.

Men and Women

Lately I've been doing a lot of thinking about going home and all the adjustments I'll experience. The most important one will be going home to my man and rekindling what was put on hold. As most of you may know, Mike and I are engaged and have been apart for the better part of a year. We are both nervous about jumping back in to a life together. Anyhow, we've decided that we are going to make an effort to "date." Yep, old fashioned dating, FUN.

Today, i was reading an article about men and women. It discussed the fact that although women are extremely complicated creatures...what we want from our men is quite simple. I must agree with SOME of the points made. Here's what they say..
What women want:
trust, loyalty, friendship, laughs, respect. And a satisfying sex life. Nothing earth shattering.

a) To be told that we look beautiful
b) We "need" foreplay
c) For you to call if you're going to be late
d) To be with a gentleman. (buy us a drink, hold the door open)

If you take these suggestions to heart you will be repaid the favours.
